The Mehteh is our Reynolds 725 steel gravel frame – a fast and agile drop bar bike, designed for long days in the saddle on varied terrain. We’ve pushed the tyre clearances beyond what you’d find on the average gravel bike giving the option of taking your ride even further off-road. Whether that’s an after work gravel dash or a full blown bikepacking adventure.

The personality of the Mehteh (pronounced /meɪteɪ/) is reflected in its name – a Himalayan word for the mountain dwelling Yeti which literally translates as “Man Beast”!

The Mehteh is constructed out of Reynolds 725 steel; a heat treated tubing famed for its strength and weight saving properties and an ideal material for the challenges of gravel riding and bikepacking. This is matched with the Brother carbon gravel fork – featuring full carbon construction, fender mounts, triple cage mounts on each fork blade, dynamo routing and flip-chip dropouts. The frame and fork have clearance for up to 650b x 2.2″ or 700c x 50 tyres to help you through the rough stuff.

Other features include thru-axle flat-mount dropouts, a replaceable derailleur hanger, 3 x bottle cage mounts, stealth dropper post routing and a custom Brother seatclamp, CNC machined in the UK.

As with all Brother products the Mehteh has been tested rigorously and it’s taken everything we can throw at it, from the rough tracks of the Scottish Highlands to the smooth gravel of the Bavarian Alps! Most impressively a Mehteh completed the 1,100km Atlas Mountain Race in Morocco.

Are your frames guaranteed?

Our frames are fully guaranteed against manufacturing and materials faults or defects for a period of three years from date of purchase. This guarantee does not cover items which are damaged through accident, misuse, wear and tear, neglect or those which have been repaired or altered by any other firm. Paintwork is not covered by this warranty, nor is any damage that happens to you or your other components as a result of any failure of one of our products.

This guarantee is only valid to the original customer and is non-transferable. We reserve the right to an independent opinion on whether the goods qualify for a refund. A dated proof of purchase must be provided before a warranty claim will be considered.

Where are your frames made?

Our frames are made in Taiwan. They are handmade using traditional brazing and welding techniques with the highest quality materials by a team of frame builders who have over 2 decades of experience. Each frame undergoes extensive quality and safety checks before it is shipped to us in the UK. Although built overseas our frames were carefully designed by us in London and are exclusive to Brother Cycles.

Can you build me a custom bike?

Sorry we don’t do custom builds, but you can contact one of our many stockists for assistance in building up a bike.

Where are your frames stocked?

You can see a list of shops where our frames are stocked here. If your LBS isn’t listed then ask them to get in touch with us about ordering a frame for you.
