Brother in the Wild Dorset, our biggest event of the year, takes place on the Isle of Purbeck, a stunning peninsula filled with pine forests, dramatic coastal cliffs, beaches and endless gravel tracks. Riders will set up camp in the heart of a nature reserve and spend two days riding the gravel trails, country lanes and forest tracks that link up across the region. The selection of routes, ranging from approx. 25 to 50 miles, will dip in and out of local towns with a number of pubs, cafes and wild swim spots along the way. All routes overlap with each other meaning you can choose to extend or shorten your ride as you go.

As always this event is as much about time off the bike as on; you’ll spend your evenings at basecamp, sat around a roaring campfire enjoying delicious local food and drink. There will also be plenty of entertainment throughout the weekend – including the following:
– ‘Friday Film Night’ – showing a selection of bikepacking and adventure films in the barn
– Inspiring and educational Fireside Talks on Saturday evening
– A live DJ set in the barn on Saturday night
– Our charity raffle returns with loads of cool prizes to be won – rasing money for World Bike Relief
– ‘Best in Show’ Bike Awards with Wizard Works – enter your bike for a chance to win, or simply have a gander at some of the weekend’s most interesting bikes
Brother in the Wild turns 10 in 2026! Next year marks a full decade of Brother in the Wild – ten years building this amazing community and sharing our adventures together. We’re excited to celebrate this milestone with everyone who joins us, whether you’ve been coming since the early days or this is your first time in the field.

“Life is simple: you wake up with the sun, snaffle some food, pootle around, have a swim, pootle some more, and spend the evening around a fire regaling of the day’s pootles. I want to bottle that.”

Event Details
Routes & Kit:
- The Saturday and Sunday routes will be between 25 and 50 miles each
- On Saturday there will be a short, regular and long option to choose from
- This includes the ‘Woods WTF Route’ – a seriously challenging 60 mile ride put together by our friends at The Woods Cyclery
- The routes are mostly off-road – we therefore recommend using a bike with 38mm tyres or larger
- The routes do not pass many shops so make sure you pack adequate tools and spares to be self sufficient whilst riding
- Most importantly this is a social ride and not a race, so ride as much or as little of the routes as you want
- Guided rides: any guests that either don’t feel confident enough navigating themselves or simply want to ride as part of a guided group can join a group ride with The New Forest Off-Road Club – we will contact ticket holders with information nearer the event with info on how to sign up
Basecamp:
- Ticket holders will be given the exact location nearer the event date – nearest train station is Wareham
- Bring full camping kit as if you were out in the wild
- Drinking water, toilets and hot showers are available in camp
- Hot food and refreshments available from Friday night to Sunday morning – not included in ticket price
- There are a limited number of campervan tickets available below – please note all guests staying in a campervan must also purchase their own event ticket
- A note on parking: next year we’re reducing the number of cars on site. Only guests who pre-book a parking space will be allowed to park at the event. Spaces will be strictly limited — we’ll contact ticket holders closer to the time with the option to book a parking space for £10, all of which goes towards a carbon offset programme. Please think carefully about whether you need to drive and, if you do, try to bring as many guests in your car as possible!
