A Dream Brother Big Bro Built by The Woods Cyclery

When we heard that John Watson from The Radavist would be making the trip across the Atlantic to join us at Brother in the Wild, we knew he needed a suitable bike for the occasion.

The answer came in the form of a beautifully considered Big Bro build from our friends at The Woods Cyclery.

Built around an XL Big Bro frameset, the Woods team put together a bike designed specifically for the varied terrain of Purbeck. Rather than creating a show bike destined for a display stand, they focused on building something fun, practical and perfectly suited to the riding John would be doing during his time in the UK.

The details are what make this build so special. A set of silver RockShox Pikes, a rare silver PNW Loam dropper post and a carefully chosen component spec come together to create a bike that feels purposeful without being overcomplicated. As Tom from The Woods put it:

“I think the colour really suits John, it sort of looks like a John Watson bike!”

This article on The Woods Cyclery’s Journal not only features the bike but also offers a great glimpse behind the scenes of the days leading up to Brother in the Wild, from photo rides through the New Forest to coffee-fuelled preparation at the shop before heading out on the route towards Brother in the Wild basecamp.

A huge thank you to Tom and the whole Woods team for creating such a brilliant bike and helping make John’s trip to the UK one to remember.
