Brother in the Wild on the Radavist
Every year, we look forward to welcoming riders old and new to Brother in the Wild Dorset – our flagship bikepacking event. This year was particularly special as we celebrated the event’s 10th anniversary, and we’re incredibly excited to see it documented so beautifully by John Watson and the team at The Radavist.
John and Cari joined us for the weekend in Dorset, riding the trails, sharing campfires, meeting the community and fully immersing themselves in everything that makes Brother in the Wild what it is. The result is a thoughtful and beautifully photographed feature that captures the spirit of the event far better than we ever could.
One theme runs throughout the article: community. While the riding, scenery and bikes are all important parts of the weekend, John’s reflections focus on the friendships, connections and sense of belonging that have grown around Brother in the Wild over the last decade.
As he puts it, the event feels “like a family reunion” – a gathering of familiar faces, new friends and like-minded people brought together by a shared love of bikes and the outdoors.
The feature also highlights something we’ve always loved about BITW: there is no perfect bike and no right way to experience the weekend. Vintage mountain bikes, basket bikes, cargo bikes, gravel bikes, mini velos and everything in between all share the same trails, campfire conversations and post-ride beers.
Alongside John’s words is a huge gallery of incredible photographs from across the weekend. From the rolling hills of Purbeck and the Jurassic Coast to the beautiful bikes and camp life at BITW, it’s a brilliant snapshot of what the event has become over the last ten years.
