Big Bro Complete | Testing in the Bavarian Alps

Last weekend we flew over to Germany for the first international edition of Brother in the Wild – a 2 day gravel ride and campout with the good guys from Guten Biken in Munich.

This was a perfect opportunity to take our new Big Bro complete out on its maiden voyage – other than swapping out a few parts (saddle, stem etc) this is pretty much the exact build we’ll be offering as a complete bike this summer.

We’ve made a few tweaks to the Big Bro this year – most notably the increased clearance to fit 27.5+ rubber! With the pressure dropped low the 3.0 WTB Rangers flowed easily over the rough, rocky trails that follow the Isar River towards the Alps.

Other highlights were the bombproof Sram GX 1×11 groupset which delivered reliably smooth shifting and the powerful TRP Spyke mechanical disc brakes that provided confidence-boosting stopping power in all conditions.

The new Big Bro framesets go on sale this Monday, 21st May, and the complete bikes follow soon after in early June.

Check back next week for the full write up and photo journal from Brother in the Wild Germany.
